Redesigning your website

The great thing about Spinsoft Website Builder is that it's setup so you can simply create a new template and switch over from your old template, giving an instant makeover to your website.

When designing your new template it's important that it doesn't intefere with your current design, since people will be looking at your website even while you are designing. 

Here are the steps we recommend when redesigning your website:

1. Create a new template or duplicate an existing template, rather than editing your current template.
2. Give your template a name that allows you to easily recognize it as the new template.
3. Create a new test page with some sample content and assign the new template to the page, this way you can keep checking any changes you make on a page that others won't see.
4. Make sure you create new images for the new template, instead of overwriting existing images which will mess up the current template.  It can be useful to create an image folder for each template to avoid any confusion.
5. Once you are happy with the look of the new template, use the Swap Template feature in Template Design, to quickly switch all of your pages to the new template!
6. Always keep your old templates, this way if you ever change your mind you can switch back in seconds!
