Image Glossary:
Aspect Ratio: The relationship between the width and height of the image. If you change the aspect ratio the image may look out of proportion.
Pixels: A unit of measurement for your monitor. The resolution of your monitor is set to a certain width x height (common sizes include 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 pixels). So if you were to upload an image that was 900 pixels wide, it would be too big to show all of it on a monitor that had an 800 x 600 pixel resolution.
Resize: This changes the physical size of an image (width x height) in pixels. It makes it look smaller or larger.
Resample: This changes the file size of an image, which is the amount of disk space the image uses. Resampling is often done to reduce the file size of the image so that webpages load faster. It is usually done by changing the compression method and reducing the image quality.
