We will be backing up and updating all clients gradually over the next few weeks since most changes in this update are for the new module.  Meanwhile we are continuing development on the E-Commerce module, which is roughly half way done!  We are hoping for a pre-christmas release of this module as well.


About the newsletter Module:
The newsletter module is now available!  With this module you can create newsletter campaigns and send out issues to your recipient lists.  It only requires the base module, however it optionally interacts with the membership module, allowing you to synchronize your recipient lists with your member lists based on criteria such as gender, country etc.


Our unique system with compliance checks and and advanced unsubscribing for your recipients, minimizes the risk of accidentally spamming.  This allows you to create your newsletters with confidence.



What's new in 1.03.04


Membership Module:


  • Member List
      • You can now search for multiple items by entering comma separated values.  For example you can search for Australia, New Zealand in the one filter.

    Newsletter Module:

    • Newsletter Settings
      • General Settings:  Control how the newsleter system interacts with your members
      • Sending Settings: Control sending settings such as newsletter format and maximum retries.
      • Tracking Settings: Choose from the many available tracking types, enable click through tracking etc.
    • Recipient Lists
      • Import recipients from excel, CSV or manually
      • If you have the member module you can synchronize your lists with the membership module, based on filter criteria such as gender, country, group and email.
    • Newsletter Templates
      • Create templates with the modified rich text editor, these can then be directly inserted into your newsletter richtext ready for you to modify.
    • Newsletter Campaigns
      • Setup campaigns for which you will create newsletters under.  Here you can give the campaign description, topics covered, default settings for newsletters and more.
      • Campaigns are optionally shown in the member profile, so that members can opt-in for individual campaigns rather than all newsletters.
      • Choose the recipient list to use for all newsletters in this campaign.
      • Enter an email address for notification when the newsletter sending is complete.
    • Newsletter Issues
      • Create newsletter issues under the selected campaign.
      • Enter the html using our modified rich text editor, which includes additional table styling.
      • Complete the compliance check to make sure you have entered all the required information including schedule, subject, reply-to email etc.
      • Send a test email and verify it, then when you are ready you can enable the newsletter and it will start sending according to the schedule you have set.
      • Frontend Website: A new special unsubscribe section for newsletters, which allows recipients to unsubscribe to all or individual campaigns, view their status and even re-subscribe!
      • View the newsletter tracking report to find out how many people read your newsletter, how long it was read for, estimates on deletions and forwards and more!
      • Automatic bounceback and reciept handling.


    • Bug Fixes

    • Fixed a bug in the rich text editor where you would sometimes end up with a blank area when inserting an image, this was caused by a delay in loading while something else was trying to interact with it.
