Mini Update - Product Ghosting and Bug Fixes
This mini update introduces Product Ghosting to the product editor for licenses that include the product module.
You can now create a ghost of any existing product. These Product Ghosts are permanently linked to the original product and can be moved to any category. You can create as many ghosts of a product as you like.
When you show categories on your website pages, ghosts are treated exactly like normal products and will show the information from the original product. This way you only ever need to update the original product. If the original product is ever deleted, the ghosts for this product will not show up on the website since there will no longer be relevant data linked to them.
Primary uses of Product Ghosts include showing your products in different arrangements. For example you might have a menu that lists your products Alphabetically, by Type, Manufacturer and more, all at the one time.
The Product Ghost icon can be found when you click on an existing product, it is the first icon located under the save icon.
Product Ghosts can be easily identified in your product lists, they have a 'ghosted' icon, faded text and have (ghost) next to the item name.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed some formatting issues with Panels that occured in some browsers.
- Fixed occurances of the Internet Explorer 'peekaboo' bug, which causes text to dissapear and irregular behaviour.
- Fixed some minor formatting issues with the horizontal menu.
- Fixed an issue when changing the category of an item. Previously a white space was left in the list where the item was previously, this has been fixed.
