Adding Images
To use images throughout your site, first you must add them by uploading images from your PC. There are two methods you can use when uploading images to the library.
Automatic Settings: This method is the simplest, it will resize (width x height) your main image only if it is too big for your site otherwise the size will remain the same. Even if it remains the same size it will still be resampled to reduce the quality and make it a suitable file size for the web.
Custom Settings: Using this method you can choose what size the image should be resized too (width x height) in pixels. The image will be resampled to the size you enter. Using this method also allows you to select an image as a watermark.
Before starting these steps, make sure you have the image library open.

Adding Images using Automatic Settings
Step 1: Select the folder that you want to create the image in OR create a new folder.

Step 2: Press 'Add Image' to create a new image item. Select the new item, it will be called 'A New Item'.

Step 3: Enter a name for this image where it has "A New Item". This name is for your reference and will show up in any Auto Image Gallery pages.

Step 4: Press the 'Browse' button to select an image from your PC to upload. Select the image you want to use and either double click it with your left mouse button OR select it by clicking once and press the 'Open' button.

Step 5: Press save
to make your changes and upload the image, this could take a few minutes if you are uploading a large image, depending on your internet connection.

Adding Images using Custom Settings
The only time you will need to use custom settings, is when you want to resize the image you are uploading without using the automatic sizes, or if you want to watermark the image.
Step 1: Repeat up to and including Step 4 above.
Step 2: Select 'Custom Settings'
Step 3: Enter the width and height you want the image to be (in pixels). You only need to enter a height OR width if you want the image to keep the same aspect ratio (keep the image in proportion). It is always recommended that you only enter either width OR height so that your image looks correct.

Step 4: If you want to watermark the image: Select a watermark from the pulldown list if you want to watermark the images. Any images in your 'Watermark' folder will appear in the list.
The Watermark folder is a special folder in your Image Library and can be found in image categories. Any images you create in this category will be available to watermark other images.
Step 5: Press save
to make your changes, this could take a few minutes if you are uploading a large image, depending on your internet connection. While it is uploading you can change to another section such as page design and the image will keep uploading.
